Per practice owner and founder, physical therapist and certified sports & conditioning specialist John DiBlasio, PT, DPT, MPT, CSCS: "In individuals over 50, it is important to understand the the biology of normal human aging, as well as the effects of any past surgeries, injuries, or conditions in a person's history. If not dealt with properly, these issues can stand in the way of a person meeting his or her fitness goals. I have worked with so many individuals in this age group who started a fitness regimen with the best of intentions, only to be disappointed with the results because they became injured and did not reach their goals. Only when you take into account a person's full medical history, goals, personality type, and interests, as well as variables such as nutrition, time available for exercise, and even travel or work schedule, can you create a safe and effective conditioning program that can efficiently maximize a person's function while minimizing the risk for injury."
Dr. DiBlasio has over 25 years of experience specializing in Over-50 Fitness. He can provide one-on-one services either in-person or via telehealth technology. Services can include an initial evaluation and periodic check-ins or regular weekly or semi-weekly sessions. Group seminars and sessions can also be provided.
